How PassCited works
A 25-question diagnostic split across your exam's blueprint domains by their official weights, at real-exam pace. You get a readiness estimate and your weakest domains.
Tell us your exam date. You get a daily target sized to the days left, adaptive drills weighted by exam weight × your miss rate, a countdown, a streak and reminders.
The AI tutor explains why the right answer is right from the exact cited rule, then gives you a new scenario to apply it. Full-length 5-hour mocks unlock every 2 weeks.
How every question is checked
- Real regulation text. We pull OSHA (29 CFR 1903, 1904, 1910, 1926), EPA (40 CFR) and DOT (49 CFR) text straight from the official eCFR API.
- Word-for-word quote. Code confirms each question's quote appears exactly in the regulation and records the paragraph citation.
- Independent second check. A separate AI answers each question using only the quote. If it disagrees or can't tell, we discard the question.
- Full review pass. A reviewer AI re-reads each question against the surrounding regulation text, looking for wrong keys, second defensible answers and unsupported explanations. Anything that fails is pulled.
- Math done by code. Incident rates, noise dose and TWA, chemical exposure and mixtures, containment volumes, trench slopes and the NIOSH lifting equation are calculated by code, so the answers don't depend on an AI.
- You can report problems. Any question can be flagged. Flagged questions are pulled and re-checked, and a report of possible real-exam content pulls the question immediately.
- Original, never leaked. Questions are written only from public OSHA text and BCSP's public blueprint topics. Never from real exams, examCORE, or brain dumps.

Is PassCited affiliated with BCSP?+
No. PassCited is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). ASP, CSP and CHST are BCSP's marks, used here only to name the exams. We don't use BCSP logos. We use BCSP's public exam blueprints only to organize original practice by domain.
Are these real exam questions?+
No. Every question is an original practice item written from public sources: U.S. federal regulations (pulled from the official eCFR), U.S. government publications (OSHA, NIOSH, FEMA, NRC, MIL-STD-882E) and published formulas. We never use or recreate live exam content, examCORE material, or brain dumps. If you think a question looks like real exam content, report it and we pull it immediately.
What does "every answer cites the rule" mean?+
Each regulation question stores the exact paragraph it rests on, for example 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), plus a word-for-word quote and a link to that paragraph on ecfr.gov. Calculation questions show the formula and its source, such as OSHA's noise standard appendix or the BLS incidence-rate method.
How are questions checked?+
An AI writes each question from regulation text we fetched from eCFR. Code then confirms the quoted text appears word for word in the regulation. A second, separate AI answers the question using only that quote. If it can't, or picks a different answer, the question is thrown out. Calculation questions are computed by code, not written by AI. You can report any question, and reported questions are pulled for re-check.
Does PassCited cover the whole blueprint?+
Not every task. Questions come only from public-domain federal sources (OSHA 29 CFR, EPA 40 CFR, DOT 49 CFR) and published formulas, so the bank is strongest where a regulation or formula decides the answer. Blueprint tasks with no public-domain source, such as ISO 45001/14001 clauses, management and leadership theory, adult learning theory, and insurance concepts, are thin or not covered, and we say so on each exam's topic page instead of inventing content.
Do you guarantee I'll pass?+
No one can honestly guarantee that. If you study with an active pass and don't pass your exam, email us and we'll extend your access free so you can keep preparing. This is an access extension, not a cash refund.
Can my employer buy access for our team?+
Yes. Team seats are $53 each for 5 or more people, 90 days per seat, paid by card at checkout.
My exam is in a few weeks. Is that enough time?+
It depends on where you start, which is why the free diagnostic comes first. Give us your exam date and we size a daily question target to the days you have left, weighted toward the heaviest blueprint domains and the ones you miss most. We'll be straight with you if your readiness estimate is low.
How are the exams structured?+
BCSP lists exam times of 5 hours for the ASP, 4 hours for the CHST and 5.5 hours for the CSP. Each is widely reported as 200 multiple-choice questions (BCSP's website doesn't state the count). BCSP says about 12% of items are unscored beta questions, and each has four options with one best answer. Our mocks and diagnostic use each exam's official time limit and pace.
What's in the paid pass?+
The full bank for your exam, adaptive practice, the AI tutor on every question you miss, full-length timed mocks (a new one unlocks every 2 weeks), and the daily plan with reminders. It's a one-time payment for 90 days.
What's free?+
The 25-question diagnostic with a readiness estimate and per-domain score, 10 practice questions a day, every public topic page and all three calculators.
